Rubber O-Rings
Description
O-Ring, the cutting edge is a “O” shape, which is the most common, classic, economical and useful sealing type in both dynamic and static application. To understand a basic idea of O-Ring, it is essential
you should know:
- The O-Ring dimension formula is very simple, OD = ID + 2*CS.
- The popular O-Ring standards are formulated by its location and country.
- The O-Ring tolerance has its limitation, when the size is out of tolerance; it means failure will cause leakage.
- O-Rings are made of elastomers which are with resilience or memory sufficient to return to its original shape after a major or minor distortion.
Application & Usage
Generally there are two types of O-Ring applications.They are Static and Dynamic application.
Static Application: In this the O-Ring is fitted between the two non-moving/static parts so that O-Ring remains static in assembly.
Dynamic Application: In this the O-Ring is fitted between the two moving/dynamic parts so that O-Ring remains will face the dynamic gland movement.
Materials Used
Nitrile Rubber (Buna-N), Silicone Rubber, Aflas, Fluoroelastomers like Viton A, B, GLT, GF, Fluorosilicone etc.), HNBR, Neoprene Rubber and AED applications etc.

Rubber Oil Seals

An Oil Seal Normally Consists Of Three Basis Components:
Sealing Element, Metal Case, Spring. It is Widely Used Sealing Component. The Function Of A Seal Is To Prevent The Leakage Of Medium Along The Moving Parts. This Mainly Achieved By the Sealing Element.
The Material Normally Used Are Nitrile (Buna-N), Acrylic, Silicon & Fluorinated Rubber (FKM – Viton)

Rubber cord, often referred to as ‘rubber rope‘, is commonly used in various types of sealing applications where the exact size moulded O-ring is not available.
Description
Round rubber cord are a good alternative in areas where the sealing is not too aggressive or under very high pressure. These cords can be installed very easily in inaccessible work areas and can be joint on site with adequate adhesive. They provide sufficient resistance and elasticity in the sealing applications.
Our stock includes O-ring cords in a variety of materials including NITRILE (Buna-N), Viton & Silicone.
Ready Stock of Shore 70-75 A Is Available in All 3 polymers from 1.5mm to 50mm Diameter.

Rubber packing’s are manufactured in oil and weather resistant polymers such as Natural, SBR, Nitrile, and Mainly Soft in EPDM and in special cases Silicon and Viton.
